Ten years ago, young Nicole and her mother leave the family hotel after it becomes known that Leonard, Nicole’s father, is connected with a girl named Rachel, her pregnancy and suicide.And now, after the death of his parents, Nicole returns to his native land to fulfill his mother’s last will: to sell the hotel and talk to Rachel’s relatives. She comes with a family lawyer to assess the condition of the old house.The weather suddenly spoils, and Nicole is forced to wait out the storm in a huge hotel in the mountains. Her only assistant is Irving, a young employee of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, with whom the girl communicates via an old radiotelephone.Nicole and Irving are beginning to investigate the incident, which is much more confusing than it seems to the locals.
