Synopsis
A story about friendship, pursuing your dream, and lots of gorgeous fashion, Yazawa Ai's popular manga series Paradise Kiss arrives on the big screen, courtesy of screenwriter Bando Kenji (Midnight Sun) and director Shinjo Takehiko (I Give My First Love to You). Real-life model Kitagawa Keiko (Placing Me Back Together) stars as Yukari, a model student who escapes monotony for a new life as a fashion model, and Mukai Osamu - one of Japan's most in-demand young male actors – plays George, the genius young fashion designer who gets Yukari out of her shell. Paradise Kiss may be about the ins and outs of the fashion world, but it's also a universal story about not being afraid to break out of the mold and pursuing what you are truly meant to do.

Yukari Hayakasa (Kitagawa Keiko) is a typical high school senior who spends her days in school and preparing for her university entrance exams. One day, she comes across a group of art students led by George (Mukai Osamu), and they want her to become the model for their fashion label "Paradise Kiss" at their school festival show. Despite her initial hesitation, Yukari eventually agrees and begins to learn about the workings of the fashion world from the eccentric group of artists. Thanks to her friendship with the group and encouragement from George, Yukari realizes that fashion may be her true calling after all.
