Frank Black (Lance Henriksen) is een gepensioneerde profiler verhuist met zijn familie naar Seattle om te ontsnappen aan het geweld en de verschrikkingen waarmee hij te maken had toen hij werkte voor de FBI in Washington.
Hoewel zijn gave om in de geest te kruipen van seriemoordenaars het hem vaak moeilijk maakt, weet Frank ook dat dit nog steeds van pas kan komen om andere te beschermen en te redden.
Hij sluit zich daarom aan bij de Millennium Groep, een team van experts op het gebied van wetshandhaving die vecht tegen de steeds sterker wordende krachten van het kwaad in de wereld.

1 - The Innocents
The Marburg virus has apparently run its course. Several months after the death of his wife and a nervous breakdown, Frank (Lance Henriksen) rejoins the FBI and investigates a plane crash with a new partner, Emma Hollis (Klea Scott). But Frank finds it hard to work alongside the Millennium Group when he knows that they are responsible for the outbreak that claimed his wife's life.

2 - Exegesis
Frank (Lance Henriksen) and his new partner, Emma Hollis (Klea Scott), continue their investigation into the case of identical women being killed off. To make matters worse it seems that the Millennium group are directly involved.

3 - TEOTWAWKI
Frank (Lance Henriksen) and Emma (Klea Scott) try to search for some answers when a gunmen fires upon high school students. Frank and Emma also learn that a survivalist group is responsible and they would even kill their own children, in order to ensure the survival of their computer corporation which is being threatened by the YK2 bug.

4 - Closure
Emma (Klea Scott) tracks a killer whom Frank (Lance Henriksen) believes murders without motive. But during the hunt Emma is haunted by the memories of the death of her sister. Frank then takes Emma under his wing to bring some closure to both their current case and her own troubling past.
