In het jaar 2013 is er een wet uitgevaardigd, waarbij elke vrouw maar 1 kind mag krijgen.
John (Lambert) en Karen (Locklin) Brennick proberen naar Mexico te vluchten om deze wet
te omzeilen, maar worden gepakt. Ze worden naar een zeer geavanceerde gevangenis gebracht,
waarbij het nagenoeg onmogelijk is om te ontsnappen. John is vastberaden om toch te
ontsnappen, maar moet ook nog zijn vrouw zien mee te nemen.
