Konings is geen onbekende voor het gerecht en wordt verdacht van grootschalige drughandel. Tegelijk onderzoekt het team van Van In de dood van Patrick Diels. Op het eerste gezicht is die gestorven aan de gevolgen van een overdosis. Van In heeft zijn eigen problemen: hij legt zich niet zonder slag of stoot neer bij de breuk met Eva. Smeekens is nerveus omdat hij voor het eerst zijn schoonfamilie zal ontmoeten. De avond eindigt echter heel anders dan hij en Linde hadden vermoed.
