Joe Toy staat op het punt om volwassen te worden. Hij raakt echter meer en meer
gefrustreerd door de pogingen van zijn vader, Frank, om zijn leven te beheersen.
Om voor eens en voor altijd vrij te zijn ontsnapt hij samen met zijn vriend
Patrick en een vreemde jongen genaamd Biaggio naar een open plek in het bos.
Ze willen hier een huis gaan bouwen, weg van verantwoordelijkheid en ouders.
Zodra hun geïmproviseerde woning klaar is voelen ze zich de koning te rijk in
het bos.

Joe Toy, on the verge of adolescence, finds himself increasingly frustrated by
his single father, Frank's attempts to manage his life. Declaring his freedom
once and for all, he escapes to a clearing in the woods with his best friend,
Patrick, and a strange kid named Biaggio. He announces that they are going to
build a house there, free from responsibility and parents. Once their makeshift
abode is finished, the three young men find themselves masters of their own
destiny, alone in the woods.
