Il regista Tinto Brass nel suo studio in compagnia della formosa segretaria, legge alcune missive che gli sono giunte da ogni parte d'Italia. Una giovane gli confida che è stata "aiutata" in certi rapporti amorosi col suo fidanzato sulla spiaggia dalla visione di un'altra coppia impegnata in analoghe "faccende". Dal Veneto Elena fa sapere di essere una "bella di giorno" e di avere tra i più affezionati clienti il marito Guido che, fingendo di non riconoscerla, si abbandona, pagando naturalmente, ad effusioni che non ha il coraggio di richiederle come moglie. Una diciannovenne di Sutri narra le sue esibizioni nel locale anfiteatro ad uso di un turista nipponico.



This film is a series of letters, photos and video cassettes which women often send in to certain newspapers. By visualizing their story-telling (the name given by the psychologists to their fantasies) the film portrays the confessions, the secret longings, the adventures, recollections, dreams, desires and fantasies of these women. It is an open secret that most women dream of forbidden affairs, secret lovers and hasty encounters but when it comes down to it they lack the courage to pursue their dreams.
