Sands of Destruction, known in Japan as World Destruction: Sekai Bokumetsu no Rokunin (ワールド·デストラクション〜世界撲滅の六人〜), is adapted from the video game of the same title developed and published by Sega. Produced by Production I.G and directed by Shunsuke Tada, it was broadcast on TV Tokyo from July 7 to September 29, 2008. In a world where humans are enslaved by beast men, there is one person who wishes to destroy that world Morute, the leader of the "World Destruction Committee". Angered to the core of her inner being by the death of her younger brother by beast men, she sets off on a quest with a black orb called "World Destruction Code". The orb was found among the possessions of her brother. The ancient orb seems to be leading her along a path. Traveling, she gains two unlikely companions. One is another human, Kyrie, and also a beastman named Toppi. In constant pursuit and combat with them is the "World Salvation Comittee". They are doing everything they can to insure the dominance of the beast men and preventing Morute from executing the world destruction code. The story builds to a climactic end.
