My Notes
This is the third in the series of The Donmar Shakespeare Trilogy: a large project by
Dame Harriet Walter featuring an all- female cast in each of the productions. This
folder contains all the extra cast interviews and featurettes which are short but
helpful in the appreciation of the plays. I have listened to the directors commentary
as well which gave many insights and more depth to the production.
You can't pick out one special performance in this ensemble cast. But I do note Leah
Harvey who starred in NTLive "Small Island" which is also in this filseshare group.
The setting is a prison and background material, if read, will show the detail and
broad appeal of the production which toured the US and several locations in Britain.
The torrent is given, like the Donmar Trilogy "Julius Caesar" in my file group for a
wider audience and good propagation. Little was done to the specs of the DVD.
One thing I'm able to do is add some subtitles from an online translator for the
play. Subtitle tools would, if needed, allow the user to edit ill-translated words
which can occur at the translator. Help is available for all of that.
Also in my profile collection is a documentary called "Shakespeare Behind Bars" on
the application of theatre in a prison setting. And that features the inmates working
on The Tempest as well.
