Il film segue la vendetta di Eric Draven (Brandon Lee), resuscitato grazie al compimento della profezia del corvo, guardiano della dimensione che collega il mondo dei vivi a quello ultraterreno. Un anno prima, durante la cruenta Devil’s Night, quattro balordi si introdussero nella casa che Draven condivideva con la sua promessa sposa Shelly Webster (Sofia Shinas), aggredendola e abusando a turno della donna. Tornato a casa, Eric fu accoltellato, scaraventato da una finestra e ucciso con un colpo al cuore, mentre Shelly passò trenta ore di agonia prima di morire, in ospedale.
