Released on Netflix on December 18, 2020, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom is based on the work of August Wilson, and is the latest film in which Chadwick Boseman took part, tragically passed away on August 28, 2020.

The film, set in 1927 Chicago, chronicles the growing tension between Ma Rainey, her cornet player and the white managers who want to control the "Mother of the Blues".
