Yello is above all a success story: Oh Yeah. Released in 1985, Oh Yeah did great with its appearance in a number of teen movies, from "Crazy Vacation" to "American Pie", and, of course, thanks to the Simpsons character, Man Duff.

This made sure that Dieter Meier and Boris Blank remained firmly rooted in the collective memory.

The Swiss duo showed no sign of abating by releasing their sixteenth album dedicated to the sounds of the late 80s, although this time you can hear an extra touch of modernity.

This is more or less the concept of an album which, as explained by the band, still runs in multiple directions: "It is partly a spy film, partly a painting by Dali, a dancefloor illuminated by strobe lights, a chase between cars and partly a love song in deep space."

The twelve tracks sound very similar to the sound of 1980s synths and machinery, from Way Down, a nod to Funkadelic, to Arthur Spark's showy house blast.

Forty years later, the Yello are still on track.
