These ten books cover a range of American Historical events and biographies which are not rooted in the Civil War and throw fascinating lights on people and situations about which most of us have only peripheral knowledge. Howvere, bland and uninteresting the titles might seem, as one who has 'read' the lot, I can say with confidence that the volumes included here are engaiging, even if some of the characters have significant flaws.
