In a not too distant future, 30 years after the last war. Eli (Denzel Washington) is a lonely man who travels North America devastated. He just wants peace, but when challenged not run from a fight. Its main purpose is to protect the hope of mankind, which keeps it for 30 years, for which it does whatever it takes to survive. The only one who understands your intent is Carnegie (Gary Oldman), the self-appointed despot of a city full of thieves.
