Lilly Steward’s meeting with a mysterious stranger, Ben, reveals the reasons why her archeologist parents were murdered: someone wanted the ancient artifact they'd brought back from Egypt. Ben tells Lilly she might also be in danger and pleads with her to help find the artifact before it ends up in the wrong hands.
Even though Lilly had asked for some space, Wade Roberts knows she still needs his protection. He doesn’t trust Ben, at all. It doesn’t help that Lilly gets all goo-goo-eyed around the guy, either. Soon both of his suspicions are proven correct, and tension mounts when Ben’s supernatural identity and romantically tragic love story begins to lure Lilly towards him.
The mystery soon leads the princess, the cowboy, and the immortal to Egypt, where Wade and Lilly not only have to find the artifact before the bad guys, but their way back to one another, as well.
