This 9 cd, 205 track box set compiles all the tracks released by Muddy Waters on the Chess label between 1947 and 1967. It does not contain the "Super Blues" album or "The London Sessions." The set, released by Charly Records in Europe is questionable as to whether it is legitimate or bootleg, with Charly always straddling the fence. The set is assembled chronologically, with the first 8 discs containing Muddy's songs in their most familiar mastering version, while disc 9 contains alternative takes.
