Forced to Kill (Will Penny) is a 1968 film directed by Tom Gries.



The western tells the story of a lonely man, played by Charlton Heston, whose fate gives him a chance to change his life. Other performers include Donald Pleasence, Joan Hackett and Lee Majors.

The film picks up a subject that Gries himself had already brought to the small screen for an episode of the television series The Westerner created by Sam Peckinpah for NBC.



For Jon Gries, son of the director, Anthony Zerbe and G.D. Spradlin was the film debut while for Lee Majors it was the second film (but in the first he was not credited).
