Man, these books just keep getting better! The last book set the wheels in motion for a pretty epic showdown between the residents of The Shade and the black witches and that’s exactly what we got in this book. This book went from 0-60 in about 1 chapter and kept the pedal to the metal the entire time! Once again we get to see the residents of The Shade (now more varied than ever) band together to protect their home against this newest threat. We’ve seen it before and it’s one of the things I love most about this series. I love the sense of community and how so many different types of people/creatures can come together to help.
