La rivista Rolling Stone ha inserito Ten al 209º posto della sua lista dei 500 migliori album.

Nel febbraio 2013 l'album ha superato quota 10 milioni di copie vendute negli Stati Uniti d'America, ottenendo la certificazione Diamond dalla RIAA.

Il nome dell'album deve le proprie origini dal numero di maglia del giocatore di basket Mookie Blaylock, dal quale il gruppo aveva inizialmente preso il nome.
