Mr. Robot gaat over een jonge programmeur genaamd Elliot. Elliot lijdt aan een slopende antisociale
stoornis en besluit dat hij alleen verbinding kan maken met mensen door ze te hacken.
Hij gebruikt zijn vaardigheden als een wapen om de mensen om wie hij geeft te beschermen.
Elliot vindt zichzelf terug in de splitsing tussen een cybersecurity bedrijf waar hij voor werkt en
de onderwereld die hem probeert te werven om het Amerikaanse bedrijfsleven neer te halen.
Het is Mr. Robot ( Christian Slater ) die Elliot werft bij de ondergrondse hackergroep.
