The dark heart of Italy bleeds in Milan.
Milan is high fashion, Ferraris and luxe, but American newshound Pete Pescatore is drawn to the city’s darker side. When a high-risk venture goes belly-up, Pete turns to writing to pay the rent—about wine and watches for lifestyle slicks, and crime for a gritty Roman tabloid. When his high-rolling former boss turns up dead, the tabloid sends him to track down the story. In Milan and Lugano, Switzerland, Pete has to pay the personal cost of his own dark pursuit of easy money.
