When his 12 year old daughter is murdered, Harlem drug dealer Maurice, “Doc”, Johnson realizes that his profession has not only ruined his community, but also his family as well. After his wife leaves him, Maurice meets a reporter from the New York Tribune, who is investigating his daughter’s murder and the two quickly become involved in a steamy relation all the while uncovering a conspiracy involving businessmen and politicians who want control of real estate that Maurice owns across 110th Street.
