The Beautiful Ones
Some say we’re special, and that’s why we’re kept in seclusion. Beyond those walls evil lurks and innocent prey would be lost in minutes. Gone. Destroyed. Forgotten.
Others say the opposite: we’re locked away because there’s something wrong with us. If we roamed the outside world, we might taint the beautiful ones. A species so pure, that to merely be in their presence is a gift.

As for my beliefs…I’m not sure.

But I do know one thing: neither of those reasons explains why it is that they come for us only after we’ve passed the age of sixteen. Whether we want to go or not, we’re taken through those iron gates. Escorted away from the only home we’ve ever known, escorted to our destiny—whatever that destiny may be—never to be seen again.


The Chosen Ones
I have known nothing but fear and death since the truth was revealed: I am a chosen one.
For centuries we have been raised as food for those who need our life’s blood in order to survive. But I’m done being a pawn in the sick and twisted lives of the beautiful blood drinkers. Determined, I will do whatever it takes to end the reign of the beautiful ones.

Fortunately, I’m not alone in this war. With the help of other escaped chosen ones, and the mysterious and stunning Thanatos, I will discover a way to destroy those who wish us harm. But first, I must give up everything that matters and do the hardest thing of all…learn to trust myself.

They took my friends, my family, and will take my life if given the chance.
I won’t let that happen.
I am a chosen one.


The Forsaken Ones
I thought I’d found the answer to our prayers, but that miracle turned out to be a nightmare. Now my friends and family are dying and it’s my fault. I’ll do whatever it takes to save them, even if it means leaving my loved ones behind in order to hunt down the elusive Raven, the only man with answers. With Thane’s help I’ll travel this new and dangerous world, confronting dangers I never expected. If I'm not careful, I just might lose my soul, if not my life.
