Tanz der Lemminge (Dance of the Lemmings), released in 1971, was Amon Düül II’s third album.
The musical emphasis is more on expansive arrangements and a generally gentler, acoustic or soft electric vibe; still an apocalyptic glam suite, from heavy guitar riffing to eastern European-sounding pastorals.
Kosmische Musik, a groove record. Yeti and Phallus Dei are fiercer, but don't really cover the ground Lemminge does.
It is an absolute milestone in progressive psychedelic music.
