In addition to my education, training, and past work experience, I bring a wide range of knowledge to my work as a therapist. My doctorate in anthropology helps me understand the wider contexts--cultural, social, economic--that affect individuals and families. In addition, my studies of various religious observances and customs, represented by my published books, help me to understand my clients’ religious and spiritual lives, and to integrate these perspectives and practices into our work together.
