About the Episode:
Salvo requests a transfer to Genoa to be closer to Livia, but it is clear from his demeanour
he is reluctant to leave his beloved Sicily. However, all thoughts of relocating are put from
his mind when a Milanese barmaid living in Vigata disappears.
Rumours abound about her excessive promiscuity, and people begin to jump to sordid conclusions.
Montalbano balances this case with another involving a spate of unusual burglaries, in which
the victims report the theft of bafflingly small amounts of money.
