Sex, drugs, and a lack of religion, seemed to make Guenisha Nikel’s
depressing world go round. Geographically misplaced at birth, Guenisha
concocted the notion she’d amount to nothing if she continued life in the
Small Wonder. A native of the city now dubbed Murder Town USA,
premature introductions to body bags seemed more likely than not.
Surrounded by a lack of hope and the rotting stench of death, forever
lurking the dim lit impoverished corners of the city, Delaware’s air stifled
her every breath. Fearful of enduring another moment in what she
considered hell on earth, would force her hand in taking her own life.
Guenisha did what so many black women have done in search of a new
life… she relocates to Georgia just to find the grass isn’t always greener.
