Her entire life, Nola Holmes has struggled with the depression caused by her permanent status as an outsider. College was much of the same, and now that Nola is graduating with her hard-earned computer science degree, she plans to shake things up and finally find some real friends. So she moves…

What happens next will not likely surprise the reader, but Nola herself indeed has hopes about her social life. When she finally gets a job in a factory, she meets two people who will show her the time of her life, with all the trouble and excitement that a night on the streets entails.

This includes, of course, meeting the insanely hot and enigmatic gangster Ivan. Standing at 6’8” with massive blocks for shoulders and a chest that expands like a never-ending canvass, Ivan reeks of hot and throbbing sexuality. Nola finds herself attracted to him in a much deeper way, though. She wants to know more about him—specifically, she wants to know what exactly he is hiding. Ivan shows great interest in Nola, as if there’s something about her soul Ivan has targeted as useful to him and his endeavors.
