Note : Something a bit unusual this time, this encode doesn't have any commentary tracks, or any subtitles, the image is kind of dull and not very clean. But, there's one very special thing about it: This is from a German Blu-Ray of the 104 minute extended version, which is not generally available in HD, and rarely seen, especially in the US.

The extra material has inferior quality and seems to be a (decent) upscale from SD (see some of the screenshots, with the different framing and more saturated color), but there are a whole 6 minutes of it, parts are extra character development, but most of it is extra gore, including an extended version of the lawnmower scene. There have been rumors of a proper remaster of this movie for a while, but since Jackson apparently prefers the shorter 97-minute cut, this is likely your best shot at watching this version. Definitely worth checking out for the gorehounds and splatstick fans out there.
