The harmonic drone of the tamboura...the cascading voices, the ethnic bells, and the soft wail of the bamboo flute. I'm Stephen Hill, and we're floating through the rich, mahogany world of Indian spacemusic once again on this hour of Hearts of Space. It's the latest in a continuing series: Phantom India 3.
We begin with music by DAVID GILDEN, featuring bamboo flute soloist STEVE GORN, from ANCESTRAL VOICES. From Munich, Germany's Indian spacemusic community, sitar and synthesizers by AL GROMER KHAN, from DIVAN I KHAS, THE GOD PERFUME 2, and KAMA SUTRA 2. Then New Zealand's Indian spacemusic master DAVID PARSONS returns, with deep journeys from his classic TIBETAN PLATEAU - and from his 1992 project DORJE LING. And AL GROMER KHAN takes us out with moghul spacemusic - from MAHOGANY NIGHTS.
