Eternal Egypt: Series 1

Explore the history of the Ancient Egyptians and how their culture had a lasting effect on those who live there today. Dive into the importance of the great Nile River, their unique view on death, the desert that defines the area, and the legacy that has been left behind. This cradle of humanity seems to be a never-ending wealth of insight to our past.





1)  The River Nile

This episode of Eternal Egypt introduces us to the Egyptians who live on the banks of the Nile, from Rosetta, where it flows into the Mediterranean, to Abu Simbel, where it leaves Egyptian territory to begin its Sudanese journey.



2)  Death

From mummification to the cult of Osiris, discover the ancestral rites, still present today that linked the Egyptians to death, and eternal life



3)  Legacy

From architecture to necropolises or shipbuilding, discover the Egyptian symbols that have survived through the ages, and what they mean today.



4)  The Desert

The last episode of the series Eternal Egypt ventures into the desert that the Egyptians of the Nile have never really managed to control. It is still today the place of all dangers and rebellion.
