Synopsis The Mummy (1999): In 1923, a group of archaeologists led by Rick, O'Connel, Evelyn and his brother Jonathan explore Egypt. In this exploration they find the mummified body of Imhotep. When Evelyn reads the text of Amon-Dei's book, he accidentally brings Imhoptep back to life. Imhotep is primarily a skeleton, but it absorbs human organs from those who opened the ark and transforms into a human being.
