Scientific innovation in the area of security solutions for citizen safety has leapt ahead following the exponential increase in the capability to collect, store, and process information from various sources. The enhancements in the field of device connectivity through networking and their onboard computational power have enabled algorithmic intelligence to be deployed both at the cloud and also at edge devices. Such computing systems have also extended beyond traditional modalities of data processing to include new forms of data analytics, resulting from recent innovations in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions.
