Manji, in lista di proscrizione per aver ucciso un samurai, corrotto, viene aggredito da una numerosa banda guidata da un cacciatore di taglie. Insieme a lui c'è la giovane sorella che ha perso il senno da quando lui le ha ammazzato, senza volerlo, il marito. La ragazzina viene uccisa e lui gravemente ferito. Una anziana donna gli promette però l'immortalità: ogni volta che sarà colpito la ferita si rimarginerà in breve tempo. Cinquanta anni dopo la preadolescente Rin si vede uccidere il padre (maestro d'armi) e rapire la madre dai componenti da un dojo di arte della spada che vuole assorbire (o altrimenti eliminare) tutti gli altri. Cercherà aiuto da Manji.

Manji, on the proscription list for killing a corrupt samurai, is being attacked by a large gang led by a size hunter. Along with him is the young sister who has lost his mind since he killed her, unwillingly, her husband. The girl is killed and he is seriously injured. An elderly woman, however, promises immortality: whenever the wound is hit, he will cure in a short time. Fifty years after the pre-teen Rin, he sees his father (master of arms) killing and abducting his mother from the components of a sword art dojo that wants to absorb (or otherwise eliminate) all the others. He will look for help from Manji.
