Mucopus is one of the many representatives of death/grind metal. The formation has recorded two albums so far, and "Undimensional" is the latter. The album was released last year and probably didn't push this Mucopus to the first league of the genre.

The fact that the band is still unknown does not mean that we are dealing with poor quality music. On the contrary - "Undimensional" is eight short, well played tracks. Particularly noteworthy are the parts of the bass, which rages in the background in the rhythms of ... funky. The rest of the band is also awake, the album sounds heavy, and crazy, quite complicated parts are mixed with musical simplicity. The musicians do not lack imagination to play with instruments and weave some witty motifs - just like Cephalic Carnage, with the difference that Mucopus plays harder and not so technically. It is also worth mentioning that Jason Keyser, known from Skinless, cuts his throat here.
"Undimensional" is a nice album, containing a piece of decent death/grind. It may not be in the same class as Pig Destroyer or Cephalic Carnage, but they are definitely worth paying attention to, because if some major label notices them, we can have another, valuable representative of this type of sound.
