This project is dedicated to voice actress Hiromi Tsuru, who played Dokin-chan in the Anpanman series. She passed away on November 16th. She was 57 years old.

This was shown in theaters on March 14th, 1992 as a companion to the 4th Sore Ike! Anpanman film, Tsumiki Shiro no Himitsu (The Secret of Tsumiki Castle). As a fan of Anpanman, I can't ask for a better introduction to the series to give you guys than this. It has all of the hallmarks of the series. There's three happy, fast paced adventures involving Anpanman's large cast with some laughs and some sentimentality and a few good life lessons thrown in, all of it amazingly well-animated. This film has an absolute zest for life feel to it that may leave you teary eyed at the end, in a good way of course. I hope you enjoy.

"Anpanman's friends get the spotlight in this collection of three adventures. In the first, Baikinman kidnaps Anpanman and others and it's up to the toddler Aka-chanman to save them from Baikinman's dangerous amusement park, the Baikin-dome! The next story takes place in a wild west setting, where Baikinman and his Kabi Gang are hijacking train deliveries. SLman, a steam locomotive, and Currypanman agree to make an important food delivery, but can they overcome Baikinman's Gang? The third and last segment has Anpanman and his friends building handmade vehicles to go on a trip together, and as each new one joins the group, they sing their theme songs, creating an Anpanman song medley!"
