Trama:



Il commissario Armand Gamache vede cose che gli altri non vedono: la luce tra le crepe, il mitico nel mondano e il male in ciò che sembra semplicemente ordinario. Una qualità che sicuramente gli torna utile per quanto riguarda la sua professione, ma che comporta anche uno spiacevole «effetto collaterale»: il dubitare, sempre e comunque, degli altri. Perché tutti hanno un segreto. Durante un’indagine su una serie di omicidi a Three Pines, una cittadina all’apparenza idilliaca, Gamache scoprirà alcuni segreti sepolti da tempo e dovrà affrontare alcuni fantasmi fin troppo personali.
