My Blu-Ray rips are always taken DIRECTLY from the actual blu-rays, not re-encodings of an earlier h264 torrent, and not "filled in" with web downloads. HEVC is a superb machine, but it should be given quality raw materials.
This is the entire second and final season of Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles (TSCC) from 2009, taken directly from my Blu Ray. Created by special request, this is a compact 720p HEVC version with only stereo audio.
I used x265 to create a VBR in 2 passes, at the slow or slowest quality settings, I used the 8 bit version of x265, to reduce file size.
Finally, the English, Français and Español subtitles are included (soft coded).
I think x265 has done a really good job, creating a very good reproduction of the original blu ray files, at a fraction of the original sizes.
