Michael Douglas: Henry "Hank" Pym In the past, Janet van Dyne finds herself stranded in the quantum realm and encounters a mysterious individual who has just arrived from the surface world. After the Battle of Earth, Scott Lang has become a successful author and lives happily with his partner Hope van Dyne. Her daughter Cassie has grown up and become an activist, which lands her in prison and forces Scott to bail her out. During a visit to Hope's parents, Janet and Hank Pym, Cassie reveals that she is working on a device that will allow them to explore the quantum realm without entering it, thanks to a signal that allows it to act like a telescope. Janet becomes agitated and tries to turn off the instrument, but the signal is picked up and a portal opens, dragging the group into the quantum realm; the five are separated: Scott and Cassie are captured by some natives who are rebelling against their tyrannical ruler, while Hope, Hank and Janet reach a nearby town to look for them.
