THE BEATLES - STEREO AND MONO BOX SETS [2009]
+ EXTRAS [v0 VBR][MP3]

These Beatles albums were encoded to mp3 from lossless
FLAC sources (CD rips) using the quality setting - v0
VBR "extreme" and joint stereo for all tracks. Joint
stereo is quite an effective way of compressing mono
recordings as well as stereo recordings.

Also included are the mini documentaries of the stereo
boxset (2009) as DVDRips (mkv files).

I kept the original ID tags of the source files. Album
names, track names and track numbers are correct,
although every track has the composer tag "The Beatles"
in the stereo and mono boxsets. It'a vague blanket
statement, and not factually true for some tracks in the
earlier albums; there are several cover songs in them.

The scans are also included. I resized them to 1080p and
used a bit lower jpg quality setting. The originals were
sometimes as big in size as the actual album in mp3 format.

For what it's worth, The Beatles themselves thought
the mono versions were the definitive ones. They were
actively involved in the mixing process of them, and the
stereo mixes were put together much quicker by George Martin
and his assistants without input from the band. IMO, the way
some instruments/tracks are sometimes almost completely in
one channel in those early stereo records can be a bit
distracting, especially when using headphones.
