Tre ragazzini inventano una formula per il computer, la realizzano e costruiscono artigianalmente un veicolo spaziale che, una volta in viaggio, viene chiamato nelle profondità galattiche da un'astronave extraterrestre. Giocata sul versante comico-burlesco e sostenuta da un'efficace tecnologia di trucchi ed effetti speciali, la 1ª parte è piuttosto godibile. Nella 2ª il racconto perde colpi: l'incontro con gli alieni è fiacco e dolciastro.
