This story is the first in an upcoming series of adult interactive fiction stories.
In this, the first story, the reader takes on the role of Roger Harrington, a middle aged man whose sexual appetites and escapades threaten to derail his life. To help him deal with these complexities, he has sought the help of Dr. Amana, a sexual therapist.
The reader, in the role of Roger, will recount for the good doctor all of the events, trials and tribulations that have lead him to her office. He will discuss in detail the events that have transpired, and share with her the decisions he made at each turning point that brought him to his current state of crisis (as the reader, it will in fact be you making these decisions).
With seven primary romantic interests and a random assortment of casual encounters, you are in control of how these relationships develop. Will Roger be the cool suave ladies man at which women throw themselves, the dominate, assertive male that women can’t say no to, the loyal husband who must viciously push off aggressive women to be true to his wife, or some odd combination of the three. You, the reader, get to decide.
Whatever you decide in the end, if you’re lucky, Dr. Amana will have the advice you need to extricate Roger from the tangled web of sex, lies and scandal in which you’ve found him.

Why We’re Making It
Because we’re fans of adult fiction. And we've played a lot of the good, the bad, and the just plain stupid.
Sometimes the problem was game mechanics that made you replay again and again until you found the exact combination of actions that let you unlock the carnal scene you were longing to see. Without a walk through, the games quickly devolved into a long slog through hell. We found ourselves replaying games for the sixth or seventh time, not out of enjoyment, but because we were still attempting to trial and error our way through the mechanics to get to the scenes we really wanted to see.
Other times, we found ourselves suffering from a developer dangling the carrot for far longer than we had patience. You know the type. You drop them some money on Patreon and after a year the story is still slowly building towards that sex scene you originally signed up for.
A rare few of the ones we've played had a great story, but the images and renders were so poorly done that you have to visually choke down the images to progress through the narrative.
All of which led us to making our own fiction. We believe we can do better by holding ourselves to a higher standard of entertainment. We believe we can make interactive fiction that is laid back, enjoyable, fun to read, fun to view and fun to fantasize about without having to save scrub your game to get to all of the good parts.
This is not to say we think we are better than all over developers. In fact, we have a list of several we aspire to be like. We'll be sure to share with you any great devs we know of along the way.
Where We’re At
The first story, Dr. Amana Sexual Therapist: Patient 001 is still in alpha. We’ve begun writing the text itself and doing preliminary work on the renders, but we still have a long way to go. We’ve mapped out a production schedule and have set milestones for version releases to keep everything on track.
We plan to release regular updates as we add scenes to the alpha story board. Keeping in mind the renders and dialogue you experience are all first draft, and when it's time for beta, there will be much more content added to the scenes you've already seen. Most of the renders are missing props and may have gaps in the sequencing. Remember, it's currently just a story board.
We are still building our catalog of characters, sets, props and materials, but step by step we are sourcing or building the required assets.
How Can You Help?
Hardware. That is our Achilles-Heel at the moment. Our current system designs are optimized for code composition and compiling, not graphics rendering. What we need is the funding to upgrade the graphic rendering capabilities of our rigs. These upgrades will reduce the amount of time required to produce high quality images and allow us to release superior quality content faster.
We don’t need your support to put food on our tables and pay our rent. We have jobs for that. We need your support so that we can acquire the hardware and assets we feel are required to write, render and release the stories we are excited to write about. Stories that we think will be worth your time and investment.
What Do I Get?
During development we are currently offering five tiers of support. Each tier infers certain benefits to the Patron that we feel not only give you control over the content you’re subscribing to, but that greatly reward you for your strong support. Each of the five tiers will unlock access to bonus content for various characters in the story. Each tier will provide access to the characters in that tier, and every tier below.
All Patrons will receive the full copy of the story once we have completed the beta version (keeping in mind we are still in alpha and therefore have a long way to go). The full copy will include all bonus content as standard content.
So by offering whatever support you can, you are guaranteed access to the full story upon release.
Man of the House - $1 or more per month
Tier 1 patrons will receive bonus content for Lupita, the house keeper during alpha and beta updates.
Tomcat - $5 or more per month
Tier 2 patrons will receive bonus content for Monica, the Personal Trainer during alpha and beta updates.
Just Business - $10 or more per month
Tier 3 patrons will receive bonus content for Nanami, the Corporate Executive during alpha and beta updates.
Double Trouble - $15 or more per month
Tier 4 patrons will receive bonus content for Jane and Amanda during alpha and beta updates.
Trouble in Paradise - $20 or more per month
Tier 5 will receive bonus content for Cassie during alpha and beta updates.
We want to be very clear: We’re making interactive stories, not games.
A lot of adult fiction is gamified by giving you status bars, wallets or other mechanics that players must manage while trying to enjoy the story. We avoid this entirely. Our stories are about the story telling experience itself. We want to immerse you in the story without shifting focus to additional game mechanics.
We are writing true interactive fiction. Our stories provide choices and dialogue options that don’t penalize you. We want you to enjoy the story regardless of the decisions your characters make. Your choices change the flavor of the tale, not the outcomes. Using an “all roads lead to Rome” approach gives you the freedom to influence your character without fear or worry that you may lose access to something down the road. In this way, you make the character yours by influencing the way he/she behaves. And it’s not up to us to tell you what is good and bad behavior. It’s your character and you should be free to play him/her as you choose. We believe that in well written interactive fiction, all choices, good and bad, should lead you to a reward.
If you choose to sweet talk your wife, then later she may buy something sexy and put together a romantic evening for the two of you. Alternatively, if you trash talk your wife, she’s not going to go out of her way to do anything sweet, but she has needs too and will still engage in a rousing round of hate sex. Either way, you get what you came for, an adult oriented outcome. And it was your choices as a reader that changed the flavor of it.
We want the replay value of our stories to arise from a desire to experience the tales from a different perspective via the decisions in the story. Making different choices impacts your relationships and ultimately changes the flavor of those relationships.
We are investing to make the visual style of the story to be of the highest possible quality. Our goal is to produce life-like renders to really aid the reader in becoming fully immersed in our stories. We want you to look at our images and sometimes question whether it is computer generated or a photograph. The technology to do this is comparatively inexpensive to years past, but what most developers lack is the experience. This we have, and what we don’t know, we’ll go out of our way to learn if it produces the best possible renders for our story.
In this build we introduce Emily, Roger’s wife. With the beginning of Emily’s story we’ve concluded the character introductions. Forward from here, every new release will be an expansion on an existing character’s plot line. It’s a milestone we are excited to cross and we look forward to rising high on the foundation we’ve laid thus far.
From here we will begin cycling through all of the characters on a regular cadence. Our next two installments will be the ongoing plot-line between Cassie’s friends, Jane and Amanda, so stay tuned.
