Lena has written into the show over 30 times because she says Dr. Phil is her only hope in getting her troubled 15-year-old son, Cole, back on track.

Lena says Cole has been kicked out of public, private and military school all within the last year. She says he has also lived with her parents, her husband, Josh’s, parents and his great-grandmother. She says her son is out of control, and she doesn’t know where else to turn. Cole says his parents are his trigger. He says he doesn’t need help because he doesn’t have an anger problem — his parents are the problem. Cole says his parents are constantly telling other people that he is the problem and that he needs fixing. He says his parents need to stop blaming him for everything and stop trying to punish him for the past.
