The Evermire is a vast ancient swamp. Legendary evils fell here by a great flood. But now the waters are receding.

Rhyal, a young elven wizard, seeks adventure outside her noble seclusion. Ender, a human ranger, was adopted by Rhyal’s family after losing his parents to orc raiders. Both are young and ambitious, but are they ready?

Rhyal and Ender find the only route through the mire to Hinterland Fortress is overrun by orcs. The lords fear it is a lost cause as mercenaries, wizards and warriors go missing. Can Rhyal and Ender survive the threats while strengthening the fortress and folks within?
