Plot

Sanpei Nihira is a boy of about thirteen who has a great passion for fishing. Travel across Japan, always looking for new challenges. In each episode he tries to learn as many techniques and secrets to become a perfect fisherman, thanks to the help of his paternal grandfather Ippei Nihira, with whom he lives, and his mysterious master Gyoshin Ayukawa: what matters most to Sampei is not both the success in fishing, but the inner discipline to be able to improve. Every time Sampei wants to teach the know-how to lose and the ability to accept the superiority of the adversaries. Furthermore, the series conveys some values such as respect for the environment, above all against the savage destruction of industrialists and builders, the love of nature, the possibility of redemption for those who have made a mistake and the social or family origin of the wickedness of some people.
